If I remember correctly, this was where Sergeant Major Stan Hollis of the Green Howards earned his Victoria Cross

These bunkers are in a housing area near Gold Beach

Mulberries were artificial harbors. There were two, one American on Omaha Beach and One British near Gold Beach. The American one was destroyed by storms. These are photos of the remains of the British one.
