Bayeux & the Hotel de Luxemburg

We stayed in the Hotel de Luxembourg in Bayeux. It was built in the 1600s.

Only hotel I have ever seen where the bathtub and toilet were in different rooms

They stained the names of the invasion beaches in the window of the hotel

Monument to WWI. There were mouments all over the place, I wasn't always sure what they were about.

1st meal at McDonald's. Much smaller portions than in the US

The town market (stock photo) has been in this same place for over two thousand years

I just thought this small river running through town was cool looking

This round-about had topiaries of Norman knights. Would have liked to have seen it later in the spring when it was in bloom.

We visited the famous Bayeux Tapestry, You couldn't take photos of the tapestry. This knight was guarding the entry point
