Château de Caen

On our last day we visited the castle at Caen. For the most part, only the ramparts remain. I was rather surprised that it survived WWII, considering all the fighting that went on at Caen. I have always loved castles, so we took a ton of pictures.

We had a little trouble with the Uber driver (who didn't speak English, we had to communicate with our c-phones using Google Translate). He thought he was coming to take us back to hotel (just under 30 miles away). We were expecting to take one from the museum to the castle and then another back to the hotel. So he ended up waiting for us with the meter running the whole time.

Built in the 1060s - the walls were huge and made my fear of heights kick in a little bit
